Hodapp GmbH & Co. KG specializes in the manufacture of custom doors and gates made of steel and stainless steel. The company offers a comprehensive range of services, including design, technical implementation, manufacturing, and Europe-wide installation—all from a single source. The company employs approximately 250 people across its various locations.

Since early April, Hodapp GmbH & Co. KG has been using our B100 back support system in several key areas of production. These include sheet metal cutting, bending, toolmaking, and the sawmill. In these areas in particular, employees are confronted daily with repetitive lifting and holding motions as well as static loads. The B100 provides targeted support for these physically demanding tasks.

The rollout of the B100 at Hodapp was swift and thoroughly positive. From the very beginning, the B100 was very well received by employees. Particularly noteworthy is how quickly the team embraced it: colleagues enjoy wearing the back support and actively incorporate it into their daily work routines. In addition to the noticeable relief it provides, the B100 also impresses with its high level of comfort: It can be worn easily under work clothes and does not restrict freedom of movement. Currently, 15 B100 back supports are already in use at Hodapp—a clear sign of confidence in our solution and its added value in the operational environment.

In addition, there is a strong ripple effect within the company: employees from other departments are taking notice of the positive experiences, showing interest, and wanting to try out the B100 or use it on a permanent basis.

A key factor in the success of the B100 is the immediate reduction in physical strain and the stabilization it provides for the back. At Hodapp, it was particularly emphasized that the stabilization leads to an immediate improvement in employees’ posture. The back support makes physically demanding tasks noticeably easier to perform.
